Lead tech (Agricultural Equipment Technician)

Wilson Agritech is a private repair shop specializing in John Deere combines located in La Broquerie, Manitoba. From basic repairs and yearly maintenance programs to field optimization in season we pride ourselves on being the harvest experts in south eastern Manitoba!
Job description:
* Inspect, service and diagnose John Deere products. Specialize in John Deere combines.
* Document and evaluate customers needs and make recommendations for repairs.
* Perform maintenance on internal fleet and shop tools.
* Order parts for own work orders through multiple local vendors and suppliers.
* Inspects work completed by apprentices. Shares skill set and knowledge with other team members
* Responsible for ensuring shop tools are in good working order
* Ensure shop supplies inventory is kept up to date
* Ensure quality control on jobs and perform final run up’s on combines.
Job Requirements:
* Strong mechanical and electrical skills
* Knowledge of agricultural equipment systems and components
* Basic hand tools required
* Red seal Certification for Agricultural Equipment Technician

We offer a very competitive wage ($35-50 depending on experience) with opportunity for overtime, especially during harvest season (July-October). Opportunity to work 4 - 10 hour shifts (Monday-Thursday) in the winter months.

* mechanical: 2 years (required)

* Class 5 Licence (required)
* Journeyman (preferred)
* Trade Certificate (preferred)
