Night Shift Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Night Time Supervisor to lead our seasonal staff in the maintenance of parking lots and parkades. This role is crucial in ensuring the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities through effective supervision, training, and hands-on support. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in creating a safe and efficient working environment, addressing mechanical issues, and ensuring the timely completion of tasks.

Responsibilities:

Supervision and Training: Lead and oversee a team of seasonal staff, providing clear guidance, training, and support in parking lot and parkade maintenance activities.
Safety Management: Prioritize and enforce safety protocols, conduct regular safety meetings, and ensure that all team members adhere to safety guidelines and procedures.
Work Completion: Ensure timely and high-quality completion of cleaning and painting tasks within designated timeframes and standards.
Job Site Visits: Conduct regular site visits to assess work progress, address challenges, and provide on-site support to the team.
Mechanical Support: Possess and apply mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and resolve equipment breakdowns promptly. Provide assistance in addressing mechanical issues as they arise.
Fill-in for Absent Staff: Be prepared to step in and perform duties of absent staff to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work completed, incidents, and equipment maintenance.
Qualifications:

Previous experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a seasonal maintenance or construction setting.
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work night shifts and flexible hours as required.
Basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.
Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
Term Position Details:

This is initially a four to six-month term position, with the potential for full-time employment based on performance and business needs. We are looking for an individual who is not only capable of meeting the immediate demands of the seasonal workload but also possesses the potential and desire to contribute to our team on a long-term basis.
