Sr Machine Operator (Moulder) – Evening Shift

We are hiring a Sr Machine Operator, to operate a Moulder on the evening shift. Your passion for machine operating, strong organizational skills while paying attention to details, will ensure that quality parts are produced for assembly.

Shift: Monday - Thursday, 4:30 pm - 3:00 am; this position will be required to train on the day shift.

You will be responsible to:
• Operate equipment according to safe operating procedures
• Ensure components are within tolerances, meeting specifications and quality standards
• Prioritize workload based on optimal set up times
• Keep work area clean and free of safety hazards
• Ensure equipment is operating efficiently and is sufficiently supplied with parts
• Identify, address, and communicate all possible situations regarding production, quality, personnel, and safety to leadership
• Train team members in the area focusing on quality, and safety
• Participate in team continuous improvement and 5S activities
• Flex and cross train as required

In this role, you will bring:
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written
• Detail oriented
• Basic math skills
• Excellent organizational skills, able to manage workload
• Ability to work independently within a team environment, motivating team members
• Able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly

The following will be considered assets:
• Previous experience operating similar equipment
• Ability to interpret drawings
• Experience with a caliper and tape measure
• Knowledge of Loewen quality standards
