Crane operator

About us:
WD Contracting is a Winkler based company specialising in the installation and maintenance for a wide range of grain handling equipment. Operating year round we strive to provide the highest quality in equipment set-up and repair.

The role:
We are currently seeking a licensed crane operator to join our setup crew. This role will not be limited to crane duties and may entail some tasks involving manual labour.

Responsibilities:
•Setup crane for lifting
•Operate mobile crane in accordance with safe operating procedures
•Safely rigging equipment to be craned into place
•Follow directions (hand or verbal)
•inspects crane daily to ensure safe operation
•Operate a variety of material-moving equipment to accomplish daily tasks
•Adhere to all safety requirements as well as government standards and regulations
•Inspect rigging equipment (slings, shackles, chokers etc.) daily
•Maintain a clean and organised crane (tool boxes, cab etc)

Who you are:
•Hold a class 1 license
•Valid crane license
•Experience operating heavy equipment
•Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
•Ability to lift up to 50lbs
•Work overtime as required
•Knowledge of grain handling equipment

•Pay based on experience and qualification

•Overtime after 80 hours (paid at time and a half)
