Sign/Memorial and Pickup/Installations_Seasonal Positions

Contract work May to November 2024 for sign and memorial pickup/installations. We are looking for TWO experienced skilled trades persons who are willing to work with us on outdoor sign/memorial pickup/installations. Typical day will be ½ day and others will be full days. Our sign and memorial locations are in Morden, Miami, Winkler, Carman, Darlingford and Manitou.

We are looking for a team of two people to work together. We will provide training and go out on pickup/installations with you until comfortable working independently. This is an outdoor job so if it raining or too windy you will not be asked to work. We are estimating two days a week at this time for hours available with you selecting the days you are available. Monday to Thursday pickup/installations are booked. Our hourly pay rate is $20/hour as a contractor with no deductions. Once you are fully trained and an independent worker our pay rate increases to $25/hour. Contractors are required to wear steel toed shoes on the worksites and follow all safety protocols.

REQUIREMENTS
• Skilled in the use/maintenance of various small and large tools/equipment (i.e. hand, power tools etc.)
• Experience problem solving/trouble shooting tools/equipment challenges.
• Well-developed fine motor skills and manual dexterity
• Experience using measuring/cutting tools with the ability to work in both metric/imperial systems
• Ability to do the physical requirements (prolonged standing, reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing on ladders and scaffolds, lifting, and carrying)
• Excellent verbal/written (grammar and spelling) communication skills with the ability to follow oral/written instructions in English
• Possess a valid Manitoba Driver’s License to drive a Ford 450 truck with crane or Honda truck with trailer.
