Association for Community Living is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities so they can live full, productive and meaningful lives. Providing quality person centered support through our residential, individualized and community-based services. Our shift staffed homes provide individuals with a home and supports on a 24-hour, 7 day a week basis.
We are looking for dedicated and reliable support staff to provide respectful, high-quality support within the home setting and out in the community.
Direct Support Professionals are expected to perform the following duties.
Home support duties including but not limited to personal care, meal preparation, medication administration and housekeeping.
Accompaniment and required support on community outing in all aspects of life.
Ability to assist to facilitate opportunities for development of personal relationships.
Maintain records of daily activities logs and goal progression. As well ability to follow budgets and policies and procedures.
Keeping well maintained financial and medical records and government agency required reports for the individuals we support.
Requirements
A valid Class 5 license
Level C CPR and first aid certification
High school diploma or equivalent
Must provide a clear criminal record and adult abuse registry check
Be available to work every second weekend
May be required to maneuver a wheelchair and use lifts transfers and hoyers in certain homes
