(Note: Schedule will be 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. on regular school days. During Spring break, Summer, and Christmas break, hours would be daytime).

Job information:

Would you like to work in a comfortable environment in a positive atmosphere? Do you enjoy working independently and doing a variety of tasks? Would you like to work a day shift during school breaks such as July and August? This role may be for you! We are looking for daily custodial care at Prairie Dale School. Under the direction of the Head Custodian, you would take care of your daily cleaning routine, our floor maintenance program, assist in hosting rental groups, and assisting in some minor maintenance tasks. On the job training will be offered and can be a springboard for possible future advancement. If you’re interested in being that person, we’d love to hear from you.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• A positive attitude and willingness to serve.
• Previous custodial experience an asset
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently.
• Mechanical ability an asset but not required.
• Problem solving Skills an asset.
• Satisfactory Pre-Employment Security Checks
• High school diploma is an asset but is not required.

Prairie Dale School (PDS) is a Gr. 4 – 8 middle school, opened September 2011. There are 16 teachers and 21 support staff. PDS is a LEED silver certified facility with specialized learning environments. Salary and Benefits:
The compensation package for this position is in accordance with the GVSD Policy. Class 4 Positions - $16.80 - $21.82 per hour, plus applicable vacation allocation.
