Residential Direct Service Professional (Sleep Nights)

Blue Sky Opportunities is looking for a staff to work in a sleep night residence. Responsibilities include providing support and supervision for a woman living in her residential home. A bi-weekly schedule makes planning life around work convenient. This full time opportunity includes a health and pension plan.

Minimum qualifications include:
- Absolutely must be able to produce clean criminal record, child and adult abuse registry
- 18 years of age or older
- Minimum proven grade 10 or equivalent, grade 12 preferred
- Previous experience working in the health care field an asset
- Able to work sleep night shifts that may include some awake time based on the resident's needs
- Positive attitude and outlook
- Responsible and mature minded
- Encouraging and supportive of people with their decision making
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to adapt to change
- Work independently as well as part of a team
- Good problem solving skills
- Meal preparation and house keeping may be required at times
- MUST have a valid class 5 driver's licence and registered vehicle
- Preference would be given to applicants with previous behavioral management experience
