Powder Coater

WS Steel, is a Tier 1 OEM fabricator with a compliment of ~200 employees. We manufacture both high volume components and large-scale products/projects across a wide range of industries. We are seeking full-time powder coater for the evening shift. Evening shift roles come with a shift wage premium.

Position Overview:

The powder coater role will primarily be required to use powder application equipment to apply powder to customer product for curing in the curing oven, however as workload fluctuates, the role requires the operator to flex into upstream positions as workload demands.

Duties:

• Apply powder to parts as required
• Clean tools and equipment when completed
• Flex into jobs upstream as required – described below
• Wash components for powder application when and as required
• Hanging racks with parts for washing when and as required

Qualifications:

• Prior experience with powder application preferred but not necessary (we will provide training)
• Production experience an asset
• Steady hands and attention to detail

Competencies:

• Ability to lift and manipulate objects of up to 50 lbs
• Have a positive attitude and be willing to work in a team environment
• Personable with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Significant standing, walking, bending.
• Effective verbal communication skills

Job Location: Steinbach, Manitoba (Head Office)

Hours per week: 40 hours (5:00 p.m.—3:30 a.m. Mon.-Thurs.)
