Term Grade 1-2 Teacher

Position: Grade 1-2 Teacher
School: MacGregor Elementary School
Assignment: 0.5 FTE Term (Full days, Every other day)
Start Date: September 3, 2024
End Date: June 27, 2025

Candidates will be selected for interviews based on the following:
● Valid Manitoba Teacher Certificate
● A sound knowledge of provincial Early Years and/or Middle Years curricula
● Previous Early Years teaching experience is considered an asset
● A sound knowledge of literacy approach across curricula

Skills and Abilities:
● Excellent organizational and multi-age classroom management skills
● Knowledge in the use of technology in the classroom
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team
● Experience working with students with unique needs
● Team player committed to the certainty that all students can and will learn
● Self-motivated
● Willingness to become involved in the local community
● Experience working in a multi-age classroom is considered an asset
● Willingness and ability to organize and facilitate intramural and extracurricular activities
