Production worker

Since 1999, Prairie Premium has been promoting and meeting the challenge of increasing flax consumption in the food grade, pet grade and feed grade markets. We are currently seeking 2 full-time Production Workers to join our team for work in our plant.
The successful candidate will possess:
• Able to work a flexible work schedule and overtime as needed, may include weekend
• The ability to lift, stack and carry up to 25kgs, walk and stand on concrete for long periods of time (with breaks), and comfortable with heights
• Observing Good Manufacturing Practices and required HAACP procedures
• Cleaning and sanitizing production equipment
• The ability to work in varying temperatures
• General housekeeping of production area and stocking supplies
• A strong work ethic with the ability to maintain an excellent attendance record
• Problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail
• Previous experience working in a food production environment preferred but not essential
• Additional duties as assigned
• Computer skills (Excel) are an asset
• Forklift experience is an asset, but not required, training will be provided
• Able to read, write and communicate effectively
• Must have a valid class 5 license
