Overview of Position:
We are looking for a full-time Site Foreman/Lead Hand with experience the installation of prefabricated steel buildings.
The Site Foreman provides leadership and is responsible for, although not limited to coordinating, supervising, and ensuring the safety, proper training and productivity of crews at the worksite who erects/assemble steel structures. The Site Foreman is the field level management and has a further role as a field coordinator and client interface. Employees are expected to support and participate in a “culture of safety,” and promote Wiebe’s Steel Structures core values, and to treat others with dignity, respect, and fairness. Travel is a requirement for the job, hours may include shifts of 10-12 hours a day.

Key Responsibilities:
Report to the Construction Manager/Site Supervisor
Assist in quality control
Review building packing slips for correct quantity and type of building components, load and unload construction materials to work areas
Assembly of building structure
Reading blueprints
Conduct on site meetings to ensure project plans & schedule are followed.
Conduct safety meetings on site and enforce safety policies, and all ministry guidelines in order to maintain a safe working environment for all workers on your job site.
Communicate with Wiebe’s Steel Structures office and construction manager regarding jobsite requirements to maintain productivity and quality
Ensure all workers receive the proper training
Committed to putting safety first.

Work conditions:
Travel to and from worksites, ability to lift 75+ lbs, ability to carry 50+ lbs, walking, standing, working heights, working outdoors, required safety equipment, hazards associated with the trade, construction sites.
Location:
Travel to work sites across Manitoba.
