What You’ll Do:
• Safety and Professionalism: Perform all tasks with a strong commitment to safety, adhering to Roquette’s procedures, policies, and regulations.
• Operational Excellence: Ensure the optimal performance of production equipment and machinery to support our manufacturing processes.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and efficiently handle planned work orders, breakdowns, and emergency repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Technical Skills: Utilize your welding, soldering, and cutting torch skills to maintain and repair equipment.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of workmanship to prevent equipment breakdowns and ensure consistent production quality.
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to identify equipment repair requirements accurately.
• Project Estimation: Estimate material and labor requirements for repair projects and provide detailed feedback to planners.
• Material Management: Order necessary parts and materials, collaborating with suppliers as needed.
• Process Improvement: Apply mechanical principles and analytical techniques to enhance manufacturing processes with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair equipment failures promptly, driving root cause improvement initiatives to enhance throughput.
• Documentation: Complete detailed maintenance shift reports using our computerized software.
• Workflow Management: Balance the schedule between planned maintenance tasks and new priority jobs, ensuring compliance with preventive maintenance protocols.
• Planning and Prioritization: Plan and prioritize workflow based on business needs and management instructions.
• Team Collaboration: Perform mechanical tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Mechanical Supervisor, working effectively within the team.

What You’ll Bring:
• Certification: Certified Journeyperson Industrial Millwright License or equivalent issued by the Province of Manitoba, or a Red Seal Certificate from another province.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project) and knowledge of precision bearings, setup gauging tools, tool mounting systems, and lubricant systems.
• Experience: Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry, with SAP knowledge being a plus.
• Measurement and Assembly Skills: Experienced with measuring instruments, threaded pipe assembly, tubing, and fitting procedures.
• Troubleshooting Expertise: Basic knowledge of troubleshooting and root cause analysis with a continuous improvement mentality.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Good understanding of regulatory requirements and CMMS process use (work orders portfolio management).
