About Us: We are a local coffee shop and café opening in Stanley between Morden and Winkler this summer! Charlie’s is dedicated to providing top-quality food and beverages to the local community while engaging in a personal and exceptional customer service experience. We aim to create an appealing and warm-hearted atmosphere for the growing municipality of Stanley. Located in TerraPoint Agribusiness Centre, Charlie’s is passionate to participate in connections with the community over the shared joy of delicious food and coffee.

Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Café Cook to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to transition to a Full-Time role as our café traffic grows. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food, possess strong culinary skills, and be committed to providing an exceptional dining experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook a variety of café menu items, including breakfast, lunch, and occasional special dishes.
• Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
• Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain consistency in food preparation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing deliveries.
• Collaborate with café staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Monitor and manage food waste, ensuring efficient use of ingredients.
• Adapt to varying customer traffic and adjust preparation accordingly.
• Contribute to menu planning and development with creative ideas and suggestions.
• Provide excellent customer service, including occasional interaction with customers to receive feedback and take special requests.

Qualifications:
• Previous experience as a cook or in a similar culinary role, preferably in a café or restaurant setting.
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Passion for cooking and a creative approach to menu development.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings and weekends as needed.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
