Confidence with Tech Instructor - Term/Part-Time

Program Instructor- “Confidence with Tech”
Report to Executive Director

Purpose
To assist seniors in developing confidence using different forms of technology, such as email, internet, and applications on iPads/tablets, cell phones, and personal computers. The purpose is to build independence, and technology literacy, and protect against fraud.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and lead information/training sessions.
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment for participants.
- Assess participant engagement and needs, adjusting instruction accordingly.
- Collaborate with program staff to ensure program goals and objectives are being met.
- Attend occasional staff meetings and participate in program planning and evaluation (provided by the Executive Director).
- Maintain accurate records of participant attendance, progress, and program outcomes, meeting monthly deadlines.
- Invoice Morden Activity Centre monthly.
Required Qualifications
- Passion for working with older adults and helping individuals achieve their goals.
- Thorough knowledge of various forms of technology.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot questions and develop solutions that are adaptable for older adults.
- Excellent organizational and program planning skills.
- Ability to travel to multiple locations within city limits. Incurred costs from mileage are the responsibility of the Program Instructor.
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid certification.
- Experience instructing or giving presentations is an asset.
This position is a part-time contract term.
August 2024 (Flexible) – March 31st, 2025
7-month term position, hours are flexible.
Three 1-hour sessions per month, $114 (including taxes) remuneration per session.
