Part Time Shop/Yard Assistant - Term Summer position

HealthiStraw, located just outside of Blumenort, MB is accepting applications for an seasonal part-time Shop/Yard assistant within our team, where together as a team, will help facilitate the production of premium animal bedding and garden mulch products. Job Duties
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard by sweeping, picking up debris, and arranging equipment and materials.
• Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances
• Pressure washing; equipment and facilities
• Operate skid steer to move materials around the yard
• Perform other maintenance and cleanup duties as requested
• Maintain property surrounding office and shop, including weed control, litter control and keeps yard and grounds in organized, professional manner.
• Prepare and paint surfaces as required
Requirements
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Strong work ethic
Work Conditions
• 20+ hours per week
• Physical ability to lift up to 50lb
• Travel to off-site locations may be required
• Safety equipment will be required; steel-toed safety boots
• Work both indoors and outdoors
