RN/LPN - 0.5 EFT - Evening - Term Position

Title of position: Long Term Care, Shift Charge Nurse

Reports to: Elder Care Coordinator

Position Number: N226-02

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Elder Care Coordinator, the Long Term Care, Shift Charge Nurse is responsible for supervising, integrating, coordinating, and providing direct care, including other related duties as assigned, in accordance with the mission, values, goals, policies and procedures of the Menno Home, focusing on quality of life for our residents.

Position Available: RN/LPN – 1 – 0.5 EFT, Evening, Mat leave term position. This position is subject to 24 hr. notice. The employee occupying this position will receive notice equivalent to the amount of notice the employees returning will provide.

Qualifications:
1. Currently licensed with CRNM / RPNM /CLPNM and in good standing with the college of nurses.
2. Physical and mental health to meet position demands.
3. Demonstrated ability to provide and/or direct the provision of holistic nursing care for our residents.
4. Demonstrated ability to work and make decisions independently through the application of the nursing process, within the RN/LPN Scope of Practice and CNA Code of Ethics.
5. Demonstrated leadership abilities as evidenced in effective Team Leading and Conflict Management.
6. Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
7. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, residents, families, and community.
8. Ability to speak and understand the Low German language is an asset.
9. Computer knowledge is an asset.

Salary and benefits are according to MNU collective agreement.
