Quality Assurance Technician

Pioneer Meat has an opening for a Quality Assurance Technician who will work with the entire Pioneer Meat team to ensure that the quality and integrity of our products are continually achieving the highest possible standards.

Required skills and abilities:
• Experience in Inspecting and auditing processes
• Employee training and development
• Calibrating quality assurance equipment internally
• Maintaining quality assurance lab and related procedures
• Filing and documentation
• Dedication to working in a team environment
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task as needed
• Interest in food safety
• Ability to handle high stress situations
• Ability to follow directions
• Availability for occasional overtime
• Ability to report on quality and help implement solutions and corrective actions
• Strong decision making skills

Must have:
• Computer competency in Word, Excel and Outlook
• Must be fluent in English; Verbal, written and reading
• Experience with Quality and Quality systems
• Auditing experience
• A background including Microbiology training
• Prior HACCP experience
Must be legally able to work in Canada without restrictions.

Asset:
• Some experience in a Meat Processing Plant
