Job Description:
As a Collision Repair Estimator at FUNK'S AUTOBODY, you will play a crucial role in our repair process. You will be responsible for providing accurate damage estimates, assisting customers with insurance claims, and ensuring a smooth and efficient repair process. Your key responsibilities will include:

-Conducting thorough vehicle inspections to assess damage and identify repair needs.
-Preparing detailed and accurate repair estimates using industry-standard software, Mitchell Connect.
-Communicating with customers to explain repair estimates, answer questions, and provide exceptional customer service.
-Collaborating with insurance companies to negotiate estimates and advocate for our customers.
-Maintaining accurate records of estimates, parts orders, and repair progress.
-Working closely with the production team to ensure timely and efficient repairs.
-Staying up-to-date with industry trends, repair techniques, and manufacturer specifications.

Experiences that are an asset:
-Prior experience in the collision repair industry
-Practical experience with vehicle repairs, as estimating involves hands-on inspection.
-Red Seal Certification is a great addition, although not a requirement
-Proficiency in using Mitchell estimating software, or a willingness to learn
-Knowledge of collision repair processes, materials, and techniques.
-Excellent communication and customer service skills.
-Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
-Detail-oriented and highly organized, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
-Familiarity with insurance claims processes is a plus.
-I-CAR certification is a plus.
