Payroll & Benefits Specialist
Location: Okotoks, AB

We are looking for a Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join our Human Resources team in Okotoks, AB.
Responsibilities and Skills:
Process bi-weekly payroll and health benefits for employees at the Business Units assigned
Process payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, health benefits and other deductions
Ensure that all pay due is paid accurately and in a timely fashion to all employees
Process monthly payroll journal entries and reconciliations
Perform yearend payroll requirements
Work with the Business Units to understand their procedures and policies
Stay current with payroll regulations, standards and work methods
Collaborate with the HR department and other departments to ensure pay and personnel records are accurate and up to date
Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, respectfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times; display team work; accountability, reliability, and dependability
Payroll experience preferred; Payroll designation an asset
Accounting experience an asset
Possess working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Products
Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
Have the ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced team environment
Be committed to the process of continual improvement
Have excellent multi-tasking abilities
