The Stockmen’s Memorial Foundation, located in the Cochrane RancheHouse, is seeking a Library Communications Assistant. Primary responsibilities include scanning archival documents, updating and managing the library’s social media accounts, greeting patrons and assisting them in finding material and information, maintaining an attractive and inviting library setting and other duties as required.
Strong communication and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to manage social media accounts and feeds
Willingness to learn and a can-do attitude
Interest in Western history an asset
As this is a STEP position, applicants must meet STEP requirements. The position runs from July 3, 2018 to August 31, 2018. $15/hour, 37.5 hours/week. Saturday hours as assigned.
The SMF is a non-profit group that is dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of ranching and the livestock industry, serving patrons in western Canada and worldwide.
