Community Services Navigator Wanted – Claresholm and Area
The Social Service Navigator will provide a pint of focus for coordinating and integrating child, youth, family, adult and senior services and for addressing problems related to integration, coordination and community of care. This will result in enhanced services through more efficient use of various professionals, reduced duplication of services, and better linkages and connections. The Navigator plays a large role in helping to facilitate and ensure integrated care across community services, programs and agencies.
QUALIFICATIONS: Baccalaureate degree in social sciences, education or health. Minimum of two – five years relevant experience with at least two years in counselling, childhood health or comparable experience in a related field. Extensive knowledge of, and experience in, child/family wellness, including the educational background and/or experience to assess biological, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of clients and families. Vital for success are exceptional customer service skills, strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution and coordinating skills; together with the ability to facilitate, promote and maintain the internal and external partnerships essential to enhancing access to services. Project management and evaluation experience an asset. Demonstrated skill in liaison and education work. Valid driver’s license; clear criminal record check.
This is a contracted position based on a .5 FTE for $30,000/yr. Estimated start date: October 15, 2018
