Salary: $ 16.91 - 20.57 / hour

Do you love working with children and the public? Thrive in a busy office? École Morden Middle School is looking for a friendly, energetic, mature, and responsible individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be a School Administrative Assistant.
Functioning as the front-line, public face of our school in dealing with students, staff, parents, and members of the community, the successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating communication within the school and helping students and staff members meet their needs. As such s/he must have the ability to work as part of a collaborative team as well as individually, demonstrating leadership skills, presenting themselves professionally, and being cordial, respectful, diligent, and ethical in carrying out his/her duties as assigned.
The successful person must demonstrate an ability to follow direction and protocol, yet work independently with minimum supervision, problem solve, and make decisions within assigned responsibilities. The successful person should possess experience working as a receptionist, performing clerical duties, and demonstrate an ability to function in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required. Experience working within Western School Division and/or experience with industry related software is considered an asset, as is possession of post-secondary accreditation in a program directly related to the function of the position, recently earned. The ability to read, write, and speak French is considered an asset and highly desirable.
A condition of employment with Western School Division is a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Child Abuse Registry Check and an agreement by the applicant to disclose criminal record and/or Abuse Registry record information to the Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. Persons must present this information prior to their first day of work.
