The Town of High River is seeking a Parks & Facilities Supervisor to join our Parks & Recreation team. Reporting to the Manager of Parks & Recreation, the Supervisor is responsible for the administrative and leadership needs pertaining to the Parks and Facilities section. This position will be responsible for the day to day operations and maintenance of the Parks and Facilities at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex as well as being involved in operational and capital planning. When necessary the Parks & Facilities Supervisor may be required to perform a wide variety of duties and tasks associated with a position of equal or lesser responsibilities.
To prepare for this position, you will have a grade 12 education or equivalent combined with multiple certificates related to Parks and Facilities. In addition, you will have five years municipal Parks and Arena experience with three years at a supervisory level. Significant knowledge of the practices, procedures and principles used in all aspects of landscaping, turf management, pest management control, public spaces, irrigation, parks, tree management, cemetery, outdoor recreation spaces, ice, facility and janitorial maintenance is considered an asset
