Reporting to the Vice President, Mental Health and Addictions programs you are an integral member of the Leadership Team. You will provide strong leadership in ensuring that clients presenting to the Morningstar Centre, receive residential withdrawal management services according to established standards. You will also be a key participant in the development of current hospital and community mental health / addiction services and strategies, which address the future needs of our catchment area.
The successful candidate will have a Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or health-related field, and will be eligible to register and/or is registered as a member of their Professional Association.
Additionally, the successful candidate will possess a minimum of five years front-line health care and/or social service experience, and a minimum of three years clinical/administrative management experience in a health care and/or social service setting. This includes evidence-based knowledge and practice in the areas of addictions, mental illness, cross-cultural care, and inter-professional / holistic care, and a thorough knowledge of Addictions Programs and treatment modalities. Proven skills in the areas of leadership, organization, communication, conflict management, and strategic relationship development are required for this position.
