Under the direction and approval of the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for the effective management of the agency’s daily operations, by supervising, monitoring existent service delivery, the design and implementation of new projects and programs.

Position Requirements:
• University Degree in Business Administration and or Social Services or Social Development is preferred with 3-5 year experience in a related position
• Essential to this position is passion, vision and a drive to make a positive impact on society
• Exceptional time management, sound judgement, problem-solving and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with sensitivity
• Ability to manage, work and communicate effectively within a team environment
• The ability to meet standards and deliverables as set by the funding Ministry and the agency
• An understanding of the employment needs, issues and opportunities within our community

• Deals with all aspects of Human Resource requirements for the organization
• Maintains personnel and financial records including all reports, agency stats and approval of expenditures
• Prepares budget proposals and business plans for submission to funders
• Provide expertise and material to deal with counselling and job creation, staff development
• Meets monthly with the Board of Directors regarding Agency operations and programs as well as the financial overview
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation as per Ministry and agency standards
• Implement administration policies as directed by the Board of Directors
• Other duties as required

Public Relations/Networking/Client Services
• Represents the Agency at committees and conferences that have employment
or youth related mandates
• Ensures the Agency services are promoted to other agencies, all levels of
Government, employers and educators
• Ensures that the Agency has information available to the community on youth
unemployment and related programs
• Coordinates and develops the Agency’s advertising and promotional activities.
• Maintains referral contacts with other agencies
• Contacts other agencies to develop strategies for mutual clients
• Provides information on employment training opportunities available in the community
• Refers clients to Employment Advisors where appropriate, and to other community services as required
• Other duties as required
