ASSISTANT FOOD SERVICES MANAGER

The Assistant Food Services Manager (ASFM) at Red Rock Bible Camp will be a committed follower of Jesus, eager to serve in a disciple-making ministry. The ideal candidate will value camp ministry and will become a member of the food services leadership team. The AFSM will work together with the Food Services Manager to guide and teach kitchen helpers, prepare and serve food for guests and staff, clean the kitchen and dining hall, and wash dishes at the end of each meal. The leadership team will meet briefly each morning before other kitchen staff arrives to plan the day. The AFSM may at times be required to work longer hours than other non-paid kitchen staff.
This full-time position will require the manager to work in a small community of staff and live on-site, at the camp, near Rennie, Manitoba. The successful candidate will be able to affirm our Statement of Faith, and Core Values found on our webpage. The candidate will have a history of safe driving and will successfully complete the criminal record and vulnerable sector checks.
Work together with the Food Services Manager to oversee kitchen operations.
Assist with cooking, including the management of dietary meals.
Direct kitchen helpers in daily duties.
Guide and teach Safe Food handling to kitchen helpers.
Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen.
Fill and replace all toxic cleaning chemicals.
Assume the role of the Food Services Manager, in their absence.
Obtain WHMIS and Food Handlers Level 1.
Other duties as assigned, from time to time, by the Kitchen Manager or Camp Manager.
