Customer Service Representative - Casual

Reporting to the Recreation Administration & Programming Supervisor, the Customer Service Representative provides front-line support at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex related to customer service inquiries and Parks and Recreation admissions. This customer-focused position is an important first point of contact for customers and stakeholders (including public and internal inquiries) related to Parks & Recreation.

As part of the Parks and Recreation division, Customer Service Representatives contribute to a safe and healthy community. Parks & Recreation does this through its vision to put people first and improve the quality of life in our community by fostering active, healthy living, and wellness. The Community Programming team has a key role in this effort. Close collaboration and team work with Parks and Recreation colleagues will be key to success.

Currently this position works up to 18 hours per week with no guarantee of hours. However, you must be available to work a minimum of six (6) hours each two (2) week pay period. The Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex hours of operation vary. Typical shifts for these positions are set seasonally and may occur between the hours of 5:30 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. (midnight); 7 days per week. Please indicate your availability between these hours in your application.

This position requires you to work extremely flexible hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays), shift work, and split shifts to meet operational requirements. One of the many perks of this position is the eligibility to participate in the Town’s part-time benefits program. We are looking for candidates who are able to make a long-term commitment to our team!

Preference will be given to those whose availabilities closer match the operational needs of the facility.

The successful applicant will have a grade 10 education and Standard First Aid, CPR Level C/AED. Experience with cash handing would be preferred however, can be taught on the job. A customer focused and enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to collaborate is a must for this position.
